use a prefader send to a bus
set the input of the track to the same bus (feedback loop)
mute the track
go into quickpunch mode
play the section of music
sometime after the musical content of the selection go into record for a second.
stop
trim the recorded region to the left, the chain of effects will be printed to the region.
you can now disable the plugins to save cpu.</description>

In addition to the headphone sends, I use prefader sends when printing effects to the same track. Not sure if you know that trick.</description>
