I finished a great book yesterday.
Finished it in less than 24 hours.
(Granted it was an audiobook, but still…)
This might be one of the best books I’ve read in a really long time. I’ll be re-reading it again, probably this week.
What’s it called?
The Go-Giver: A Little Story About a Powerful Business Idea
Ever heard of the term go-getter? “Man, that guy is a real go-getter. He makes things happen. He gets what he wants.”
This book tells the story of a go-GIVER, someone who becomes insanely successful not by focusing on what he gets, but by focusing on what he GIVES.
The book is centered around 5 Laws of Stratospheric Success, which are mind-blowingly simple.
The premise is this — if you want to see more success come your way, you’ve got to focus solely on how much you help others.
Provide real value.
Genuinely care about the other person.
And you will (according to this book) achieve more success than you can probably handle.
This applies to all areas of life, and it certainly applies to working with musicians in the studio.
Anyway, I was just so floored by how good this book is, I wanted to tell you about it.
In fact, I’ll buy a copy of this book for the first three people to reply to this email.
For the rest of you, add this book to your Christmas wish list. It’s a worthwhile read.
