When I started HSC back in April, during the first week I sent out an email to readers asking for feedback. One reader suggested a forums section.
I’ve been thinking about it for the last 6 months, and I think it’s time to give it a go. The reason I’ve been hesitant is that I didn’t want the forums to distract from my real goal here at HSC, to provide good, consistent, helpful articles and videos.
I love the other forums around, like Harmony Central and even Gearslutz, and I currently have no intention of getting that big. I simply want a place for my readers to be able to interact a bit and ask questions.
Ask Joe
One of the big reasons I decided to go with a forums section is to help field all the questions I get via the Ask Joe form. I feature some questions here on the blog, but the rest I’ve been answering via email. Well, now I’m getting quite a few questions, more than I could feasibly answer here on the blog. Hence the forums.
There’s an “Ask Joe” section on the forums where I will field these questions and answer them for everyone to see. I’ll still featuring some of the best questions here on the blog, but I don’t want those other questions to go un-answered.
Future Developments
While I can’t go into any details just yet, another big reason I created the forum section was to prepare for some big plans I have for Home Studio Corner. That’s all I can say for now.
