Hey everybody. Meet Owen. ๐Ÿ™‚

He was born on Monday, October 4, at 5:37 PM. He weighed 8 pounds, 1 ounce, and was 21 inches long.

This is my firstborn. I’m amazed at his cuteness…I can’t stop staring at him. (Click the picture to the right for a closer look. I bet you can’t close it once you open it.) ๐Ÿ™‚

Words can’t expressed how thrilled my wife Pam and I are. He’s simply incredible.

Baby Pool Winners:

And no, I haven’t forgotten about those of you who entered your guesses in the Gilder Baby Pool. The winners are:

  • Ben of BenandJacq.com – Ben guessed 10/4 at 10:04 am. (The closest guess without going over.)
  • Ben Gortmaker – Ben guessed 8 lbs, 1 oz. (Owen’s exact weight!)

A Tale of Two Bens

Funny story. I happen to know both of these Bens personally. I sang in Ben #1’s wedding, and Ben #2 played guitar at my wedding. [Disclaimer: Neither of them had any insider information as to when the baby would be born. They knew everything you did.]

Congrats, dudes. Email me for your prizes. You can choose from the Producer Bundle over at JoeGilderMusic.com, Understanding Pro Tools, Understanding Editing, or even the brand new Understanding EQ.

Thanks to everybody for your prayers and well-wishes. I’m sure Owen will make his way into many HSC articles and videos in the future. ๐Ÿ™‚

    Congratulations, Joe!
In my opinion, there is nothing we can accomplish in life that will top our first born. I know that you and Pam are tired, but I also know the joy that you’re feeling in your heart’s. May God bless you and your family.

Amazing! Simply amazing. Congratulations to the Gilder family! Hey! It starts with baseball then guitar lessons Joe and Pam, who knows, if I were a betting man my wager would be that there’s going to be another musician in the house. So,,, enjoy every moment for time does not stand still. My prayers of good health and good living for you all. Take care.

Good looking boy, should bring joy to you and Pam. Wait a few months before you teach him how to “EQ”. Many years of joy and happiness.

congrats to joe and the competition winners.

hope you train him to like good music, unlike the mass produced exact-same-song-with-a-different-vocal-line rubbish that major labels are pushing out now.
