Congrats to Julian for winning the contest for a free Production Club membership. Several of you tweeted and facebooked your way into the contest, but Julian came out on top. (And yes, I did actually draw names out of a hat.)
3 Days to Sign Up
I’ll leave the doors open to the HSC Production Club for three days. At 6pm CST on Thursday, November 12th, I’ll shut the doors and focus on getting to know the new members.
Will I be launching the Production Club again in the future? Maybe. However, I can’t promise that I’ll keep the price at $39/month. It will most likely be a good bit more.
If you’re on the fence about it, I understand. Let me assure you that you’ll be happy with it. And if you’re not? No problem. I’ll issue you a refund.
I hope you decide to join. I would love to have you be a part of the group. Several of the folks from the early-bird list have already joined, and we’re all really excited.
If you determine that the Production Club is not right for you, no worries. I would encourage you to continue to be a part of Home Studio Corner. I’ll keep putting out plenty of free articles and videos just for you.
In case you missed it, yesterday I explained the brand new HSC Production Club. Today I hope to answer any lingering questions you may have.
But first, don’t forget the live question and answer session this afternoon from 1-3 pm CST. I’ll be there to answer your questions both about the Production Club or just recording in general. Ask away!
You can watch on the HSC Production Club page or on my UStream channel. To ask questions, you’ll need to sign into UStream and join the chat!! (It’s free, and they don’t spam you. I promise.)
Two days ago, in my post about the secret to good home recordings, I announced the HSC Production Club. I’m really excited to finally be introducing this to you. It’s been in the works for a while.
Last week, I showed you videos of my home studio (part 1 and part 2). A few of you even posted your own videos (which was fantastic). Well, now I want to take you deeper into my studio and show you the production process.
In this video, I do two things:
Explain the HSC Production Club
Introduce a super-awesome, cheesy HSC theme song. I may have to switch careers to being just a jingle-writer.
You learn by doing. That’s how I learned how to record. That’s how I want to teach you how to record. Watch me do it, then go give it a shot. I’ll open the doors for sign-up on Monday.
What questions do you have? Ask them in the comments section. I’ll compile them all and answer them in tomorrow’s post.
Also, I’ll be doing a live question-and-answer session tomorrow afternoon from 1-3 CST via UStream.tv. I’ll be answering your questions both about the Production Club and recording in general. I’ll probably do another one over the weekend, too.
I have a few more exciting announcements for tomorrow, so stay tuned!
If you’re interested in being a part of the HSC Production Club, you can sign up to the early bird list to get access to the sign-up page before I open the doors for everyone else. (This is a different list than the regular HSC Newsletter.) Sign up here:
That was with a buddy of mine who drove all the way down from Indiana to record drums at The Walnut House for his upcoming album. We also tracked acoustic guitar and some vocals. I got an email from him yesterday about vocals. He spent the last few days re-recording the vocal tracks in his home studio.
