Video: Solo Safe in Pro Tools

If you’ve been around Pro Tools or any DAW for a while, you’ve probably come across the “Solo Safe” function. In this video I explain what it is and give a few examples of how to use it in a session.

What ways do you use solo safe?

Hi Joe, I want to thank you for the video, it helped alot,I appreciate it. Awsome video, as wel as all of your videos, thanks for sharing.

    • You’re most welcome, Bill! Hope it cleared up the question you were emailing me about. :)

  2. Great tutorial Joe. Now I’ll have to figure out the Logic equivalent. Thanks!

    • To do this in Logic, you hold down Control and click the Solo button (rather than Command in Pro Tools).

      • Awesome, thanks Joe! That will save me manually soloing the tracks I want to listen to
