I sent this email out to my newsletter subscribers this morning. In case you’re not one of them, I thought I’d repost it here.
In the last two weeks I’ve done two song demos for a local songwriter here in Nashville. He sent me an mp3 of the song, then I recorded EVERYTHING from start to finish. We’re talking about a full band production.
You’d think it would take a week or so to do each song, right?
Nope. 10 hours.
“Stop bragging, Joe.”
No, no, no, no, no. That’s not the point at all. I don’t have any secret ninja recording skills or
any magic formula.
Over the years I’ve just gotten better at focusing on the important things, ignoring the unimportant things, and getting things done.
What would’ve taken me a month to do 7 years ago now takes me a day.
Wanna hear a sample? Check out the video over on OneHourChallenges.com.
In that video I play you a sample of the song. I also explain how being a part of the One-Hour Challenges community will help you become more efficient in your home studio.
By putting your feet to the fire with a series of 16 one-hour challenges.
Between doing the challenges yourself, watching the video of ME doing each challenge, AND interacting with the other members as THEY work through the challenges, you can’t help but get better.
You may be wondering to yourself, “Am I experienced enough to join?” Absolutely. There’s no better way to learn than by being immersed in actually DOING the task at hand.
Is it free? Nope. But it’s not expensive, and I you’ll be glad you joined.
Head over there now. The doors close tomorrow night.
